Welcome to the 25th Edition of the Wild Deuce Newsletter!

Well, another year has almost come and gone. We want to wish everyone safe celebrations and a VERY Happy New Year ahead!

Goodbye 2011!

Our past year was everything you could want and of course, nothing but fun! The spring was a little long with all the rain, but the summer was spectacular and made up for the soggy start. Trips and training out west went well, and Brenda had her first opportunity to train a couple of mammoth jack mules.

The Working Mountain Horse Competition & Select Sale weekend had some of its best weather ever, with temperatures reaching the 30’s! Horses were great and so were the people. You can check out this link for a summary of the weekend if you missed out. And we will see you next year! It was great to see everyone who was able to make it to the Thank You Dinner that was held Dec 3 this year. We truly appreciate all the help we get to put on the Competition and this is one of the ways we can give back to you.

Hello 2012!

Slim

Heading into the new year you can check out the 2012 pack trip and clinic schedules. There are some additions to it as Brenda is going to be putting on some mini clinics on her ranch by Calgary. For all those of you who have taken a clinic from us before and are wanting some follow-up, these will be perfect for you! Time to put things into action! She will also be offering some camping along the Elbow River with options not only for riding, but to learn fly fishing from a great enthusiast.

VERY EXCITING for 2012! You told us you loved it, so we’re bringing it to the real backcountry. The Amazing Backcountry Race for STARS that was launched at the Working Mountain Horse Competition in 2011 will be moving to the mountains so that we can truly call it the Amazing BACKCOUNTRY Race. All of you who had so much fun racing around Kingman and area, tell your friends; this is going to be even bigger and better! Stay tuned this Spring for more news of this venture.

Puppies

Border Collie pups are on the ground! I LOVE puppies! There are 7 in total and they will be ready to go by the end of January. If you are interested in a puppy or know someone who is, let me know (send an email to blwinder@hotmail.com) and I will send you more pictures and information.

Terri's continuing vacation!

I’m sure all of you already know and are following their every move, but Chuck, Terri and Taylor headed south this winter, with some horses of course! You can follow their adventure on facebook. We can’t complain about the weather here, but sure would be nice to be ringing in the New Year in a tank-top!

That's all for now Folks!

From all of us at Wild Deuce, we wish everyone abundance, joy and happiness for 2012. See you in the New Year!
