Nice to remember them with a pic!

Wild Deuce Main Horses

Meet Wild Deuce’s main horses. These horses have decided through their training that they love the mountains and this way of life. To stay a Wild Deuce horse, the horse must like packing, guide and train other horses off of. They also must love taking our guests out on trail rides safely. We look for horses interested in not only the mountains but cattle work, and enjoy the arena. We believe a horse can be used for every event and this is the very horse we keep back, and the horse you will be riding this summer. Meet the Wild Deuce Equine Family!

Slim-6yrs, sorrel, 16hh, Belgium/1/4 horse x, gelding.
Brenda’s Main Guide Horse, Slim was bought when he was only 2 from a young girl. He comes out of the north country and was not started when we bought him. We bought him for a person wanting a draft cross. Terri first started Slim and they never clicked, Brenda took him over and fell in love. Slim is a 1/4xbegium and a nice correct big boy. He is not in love with the pack line but will hold a line nicely. Brenda has trained a ton of horses off of him and then he can go to the dude line and take care the most beginner of rider. In the winter Brenda can spin 360’s on him and team pen. She went to Calgary and won 3rd in team penning for breast cancer! Slim is a wonderful horse!

Jessie-6yrs, sorrel, 16hh, APHA, mare.
This is Terri’s main horse and soon to be Taylor’s horse (Terri’s 7yr daughter). This mare came to me with a few rides on her and I wanted to keep her on the drive home. This is one of the best horses I have ever owned or known. She is the ultimate all around horse, a kid can ride her, she packs, Terri’s guides on her, and she takes care of anyone in the dude line. Than you can go to work on Jessie, roping, scoring, sorting cattle. Terri won a working dog competition on this mare in Vermillion April 2008. Terri wants to breed this fantastic mare!

Arvid-5yrs, buckskin, 14-3hh, Fjord.
This nice gelding was bought from Earl Anderson. He is such a nice guy and is trained by Brenda. She is in love with Fjords and couldn’t wait to train him. Arvid packs, guides and this year he will be in our dude string!

Mooch-6yrs,dark bay,14'2hh, gelding, Wild Horse/paintx.
This is another horse of Terri's horse's. His mother was a injured wild horse whom Hank & Bobbi rescued, they bred her to their paint stud & out came Mooch. I fell in love with him the moment I seen him. He is completely different than a domestic horse. He was my intro to Wildies. Mooch is used currently as Terri's main horse and packing only. He has the cute factor!

Scout-6yrs,palamino paint,16hh,gelding, grade.
When we ran a brand crew at the Edmonton Stockyards the odd horse would come in. Chuck seen Scout come in and we bought him. He was just a weanling. He has grown into such a nice horse, he is Chucks new main horse as we have decided to sell Ben in the sale this fall.
